:D six weeks of only feeding pellets and finally he ate pellets today.

the last 5 days, he started showing some interest in h. carnivore, but did not eat any. he was definately getting hungry though i could sense this...

so this morning, I defrosted 3 small pieces of prawn, and cut into tiny pieces. mixed it with about 50 pellets, left it to marinate for 30 mins. then threw the mix in. since the fish could see and smell the tiny bits of prawn, it just went mad scooping up as much as possible, by doing so, he took a nearly half the pellets.

in 6 weeks, i hardly noticed any weight loss.

Job done.

Ade congrats, i have 3 NTTs, 4, 5, and 6 inches. They eat ghost shrimp but i want them on pellets. How long do you recon i'll need to starve them?

Alright fella.. CC , It could be only a couple of weeks being a but smaller. Just do what I did. As soon as they start sniffing around the pellets, just shred 1 or 2 prawns... Mix and dump .. U know the rest

When I got this thinbar it was well fat. Fed soley on earthworms
and m prawn.

They don't eat market shrimp, they eat live ones! I'm going to starve my tank because i want my RTG to eat pellets as well.

CC, try just feeding frozen for a while, especially krill or something that looks like the ghost shrimp. Once converted, you can then start working on converting to pellets.
