8 ITs stable

Just bought 8 -5in ITs from LFS that were totally Black and laying on sides against back of tank. Put them in tank (7ft x 2x2) w/ coral sand and 5 large rocks.

I put lights on their side so light went across top of tank instead of directly down on the fish.

All dats became totally stable in 1 hr competing directly at top of tank for krill and mysis w/ 6-10in aristocromis (great dithers - very mild cruising predators always moving out front)

any thoughts....just luck ?

LFS marked them at $70 but I got the lot for $40 each...they had no interest in the black fish huddled in the back of the tank.
