Currently I have 3x 20" silvers and just bought a 240 gallon. On my local CL there is a 8" silver and 7" peacock bass for sale. I know the bass will be fine because I already have peacocks around 6" with the aros, but will a 8" aro be fine with them? If not im planning on growing him out in the 150 along with the bass.

As your 20" Silvers are already accustomed to living in a community of Aros, the probability of the 8" Aro being accepted into the community is very high.
And in case it doesn't work out, you have the option of separating out the 8" Aro and growing him out in the 150G.
I think it's OK if you go ahead and buy that 8" Aro.

mehhh I wouldn't do it either, not worth a risk of wasting 40$
