Hi all,
I have not had my 80 gal tank up and running for about a year now (due to death of the centerpiece fish and two moves). Anyway I am trying to get it set back up and wanted to do things a little differently this time around. Originally I had 2 ac110's for filtration and 2 jager 200 watts fro heating. I want to go with one large canister this time(thinking about fx5, or the eheim pro 3 if it is worth the large price tag) because I want better bio filtration and only 1 filter to maintain. I was also looking at the hydor eth in line heater 300 watt so that it does not have to be in the tank. If anyone has experience with these let me know. My main concerns are 1) that it will leak and 2) asuming the tubes from the canister are the right size, I am not crazy about having to cut them. I am not a fan of the ebo jagers that I had as one of them just stopped working and the other had a leak. Anyway, let me know if this setup could be improved upon.
As for the stocking, I am trying to still figure that out. I want one large, unique and beautiful show fish, so if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!
