So im thinking of purchasing a 80gallon tank for my 3 RBP's. I was just curious if I could purchase 1 or 2 more RBP's for the 80 gallon. I know usually rule of thumb is 20 gallons per piranha. But I was wondering if perhaps 5 red bellies will fit with the 80 gallons?

what's the footprint of your 80 gallon tank?
footprint of the tank is more important than water volume when it comes to piranha.

Dimensions : 19Wx20Tx48L . Approx 307Litres/80US gallons.

Theres the picture of the tank. I wouldnt have that setup of decorations probably. I have driftwood, plants, rocks from my setup right now.

I'd say that would be adequate to house them. Might get a little cramped when they're fully grown, but it will certainly last a while.

so its basically a 75 gallon tank... i think 5 should do just fine in there for quite awhile, although if you get them to their full grown max size, you'll probably want to upgrade or get rid of one or two.

I would say 5 would be fine for awhile but your going to have to get rid of 1 when they are full grown
