I'm cleaning out the garage again, so here's something that someone with a big tank can make good use of.

The tank is 80 gallons, the dimensions are 48"x18"x21" and is divided into 6 sections for media and water return, or you can drill bulkheads on the side if you prefer an external pump and an extra media section. I personally prefer to use a submersible water pump to keep things simple, quiet and tidy.

I planned on using this on a 300 gallon setup, but I ended up with a smaller tank which already had this type of sump.

This should be good for at least a 300-400 gallon freshwater system with monster fish.

You can pack tons of media in this sump and it's designed like the filters you see in Japan and much of Asia, with even flow through each chamber.

A lot of sumps I see don't work like this and don't allow water to flow through each chamber as efficiently.

I have a smaller sump just like this for my 72"x30"x24" and the water is crystal clear, with near perfect water parameters. Ammonia and nitrite are always zero, and most of the time there is little to no nitrate present, and I have a bunch of huge fish in there.

I have 72"x18"24 tank with a 30 gallon sump like this and the water parameters are about the same. That tank has an 18" armatus, 20" perch, 24" gar and 18" aro. It's a bit overcrowded right now, but the water is very good.

The only thing you will need is some eggcrate for the 4 center sections and some short pvc cuttings to hold up the eggcrate. That should not cost you more than $10. I may have some extra eggcrate to give you for free...let me rummage around in the garage.

I may also throw in 15 lbs of brand new media with this: lava rock like media and maybe a submersible heater or two if you need (200-300 watts each).

The sump has no leaks and should serve you well.

I'm asking $175 and you will need to pick it up in La Crescenta CA 91214.
