except in this tank, get a medium sized SH, not a red. Gachuas, a punctata, an aurantimaculata.

The idea of the bichir is a good one and they look cool! The other option is see what you could get for trade? I have traded a few fish with one of the local dealers and have always gotten a good deal.

Are you people serious, a docile cichlid with a Snakehead? Sure things may be ok temporarily, but eventually the Snakehwad will murder other occupants...imho....Yes I kept SH's since 1990 along with cichlids, most met their demise....
