I am getting an 85 gallon (48L x 18W x 24H) and was hoping to get some suggestions as to what to stock, how many, etc. Currently going in it will be:
A mess of holey limestone
1 male Metriaclima estherae (Red Zebra)
1 Synodontis catfish
Lots of room for creativity, I know, but I was specifically wondering about mixing these genus/species:
Astotilapia aeneocolor (don't know if I can find these...)
Archocentrus spinosissimus, centrarchus, cutteri
Cynotilapia, Afra
Melanochromis (Maingano)
Thorichthys
Xystichromis (don't know if I can find these either...)
I have kept fish for over 5 years now, cichlids for about 3, and was looking for a little insight from anyone who has experience with these fish. My current Zebra has been pretty good with other fish in the past. A bit pesky and pushy, but not mean or nasty (and that was in a 20 gallon with a Firemouth, the synodontis and a blue gourami!)
