85 gallon tank stocking ideas!

I have an 85 gallon tank(72"Lx15"Wx20"H). I want an aggressive tank but no African cichlids. I like New world cichlids better. Any ideas? I love oddballs too. I want to someday get an arowana but I don't think I could keep one for a very long time in my current tank.
