I am in the process of rescaping my 85 gallon tank. Its dimensions are 72x15x18. Stock: 3 Oscars(all are 2.5” or less)(also there will only be one in the next few months), and a gold severum(I am currently looking to get 2 more severums or 2 uarus but I can't fins either of them. I want a green sev and a rotkeill sev that are around 2.5" or less. Same with uarus.) Anyways, I have 60 lbs of Caribsea Tahitian Moons and on its way and it will be here in about a week. I just painted the back of my tank black yesterday. I know its a lot of black but I figured I would try it out. I'm looking for some cool scaping ideas. I am looking to spend as little as possible but I don't mind spending some money. Live plants are welcome but I don't want drift wood. I find it to be a huge pain in the butt and in fact I threw mine away yesterday out of frustration. I want the scape to be natural looking despite everything else being all black. It can't be too crowded because my tank isn't that tall and I want plenty if swimming space for my soon to be large fish. If I get more severums, which is most likely what I'll do, I want to end up with a breeding pair, so a breeding spot will be worked into the scape. Any ideas, suggeation, and pictures will be appreciated. I don't want the overgrown look. I want some plants but mostly rocks. Maybe a fake driftwood? Anyways, post on!
