Hey,
I got a Saratoga Leichartdi about 1 week ago an Im picking up a new fish tank on the weekend its going to be 8x2x2 i realise that u would really need a wider fishtank but im unable to keep a wider one in the room,
I sorta want another fish in the tank with him, is ther any other fish i could keep in that fishtank with him, im thinking of a dwarf guarami,
but open to suggestions
oo and btw hes only bout 4"

Went to the lfs today and ended up getting a barramundi, seeing as the two fish i was looking into were waay too expensive, ck wer 300$ and giant gouramis where 250$ :(
Looks like ima have a native australian fishtank now :)

Yeah i thought about it,
i can either give it to under water world were i did my work experience not too long ago, or who knows i might have a bigger fishtank by then :)

I think i made a big mistake, im not rly liking the idea of the baramundi anymore, alls going smooth in the tank but im just thinking of the long run, i think it was sort of an impulse buy i think i might take it back to the fishshop, the fish im thinking are sleepy cod, eeltailed cat, n perch,
Could someone suggest any fish before i make another mistake ?

Take it back mate and dont impulse buy while your there.just sit down and do some research about the fish you may want, with an 8x2x2 you have a lot of choice so dont rush the decision.

Have a look at a big pleco, or some catfish that grow to a not too larg a size. Synodontis ocellifer is available in south east queensland. Think of htem as a big featherfin catfish, apparently grow to 18 inches. My old Featherfin was a fantastic fish.

Maybe a Jungle Perch.

bichirs would work as tankmates

haha they wud if they wernt bout 500$ a peice in australia
Well we went to visit the guy with the tank and mum recons it was too big :S
so now im just getting a 6x3x2 3 foot wide
I think i might just keep him by himself :)
