Get a 3 feet wide tank will be much better. Temesis grows to 3 feet in length. For it to grow to it's
Max potential suggest something wider than 3 feet

I say yes. Stay away from the temensis though. Get some orinos they are slower growers. I had a 20" occelaris in a 2' wide tank he was fine.

as said, stay away from temensis, but also pinima, piquiti and a couple others will get over 24" also

You'll be fine for a while, but be honest with yourself before you purchase a particular species....as in, if you do want Tems for example...get them...but you will need to upgrade down the road. Besides that, thats a nice sized tank

You should be okay with a 240, but like stated above bigger would be nicer. I'm stuck with my 240 for now, hoping to upgrade to 500 in a year or so.
