Get a 3 feet wide tank will be much better. Temesis grows to 3 feet in length. For it to grow to it's
Max potential suggest something wider than 3 feet
 
I say yes. Stay away from the temensis though. Get some orinos they are slower growers. I had a 20" occelaris in a 2' wide tank he was fine.
 
you'll be good....stay away from temensis unless you are willng to double that tank size.
 
as said, stay away from temensis, but also pinima, piquiti and a couple others will get over 24" also
 
You'll be fine for a while, but be honest with yourself before you purchase a particular species....as in, if you do want Tems for example...get them...but you will need to upgrade down the road. Besides that, thats a nice sized tank :)
