8x3x3 GT tank

I have a tank I'm switching up , I've always loved GTs but I know how they can be.. with a 8x3x3 for a centerpiece how many do you think would viable be able to survive in a tank that big?

I added a pair of young Stalsbergi to my 8x3x2.5 about 3 months ago and they've had fry hatch twice already. Too bad the other tank occupants eventually ate all the fry each time.

To answer your question, judging from my pair's breeding behavior I would have 3 pairs in my tank if I wanted to keep just green terrors. This is based on my current pair claiming 1/3 of the tank each time they had fry.

I believe this tank is a 180gal…wild group of true GT;

In a tank that size, I'd start with a small group and be prepared to reduce numbers once pairs form. Even in large tanks, breeding Green Terrors can become very territorial, so the long term stocking level is usually lower than the tank size might suggest.
