8x4 tank project

starting the 2nd week of Jan 2010 i will be getting a 8ft long x 4ft wide x 32 inch deep tank

the tank will be made and put in a hut in my garden

i know it will need to be well insulated so that will be sorted what with the UK winters

I'm hoping to make a base out of red brick with high gloss red doors and hood

the base is what I'm concerned about

i want a 60x24x24 sump and thats were the problems start i need to leave plenty of space to get the sump in and out so that wont leave me much space to make brick colums at both end

i was thinking of putting concrete lintels across the front and top and having a 18inch thick row of bricks at the back will this be enough or do i need more

Good luck with the build, we could certainly use more luck with the weather here in England! Atleast its starting to melt now though . I can't wait to see it fully setup and I'm sure your arowana's and stingrays will enjoy it.
