I am looking for an 8'x4'x2' acrylic aquarium. I know that the chances of someone having this on hand and for sale is nil, but was hoping to get some advice on whereabouts I could purchase one of these in Canada. I in Ontario specifically, about 2 hours from the GTA.
I've contacted Miracles Aquariums as they seem to be the most highly recommended manufacturer but they haven't replied to me yet. The best lead I have found so far is from fishtanksdirect, with this aquarium being almost exactly what I am after and very likely what I will purchase if I can't find anything else. I am sold on acrylic over glass for weight and durability. I am looking to keep some large polypterus in here, and I don't want them to shatter the glass if they dart.
I'd like to purchase from a manufacturer in Canada if at all possible to save on shipping/duties. Or alternatively if someone has a big acrylic tank they're looking to sell, I'm in. Not really interested in anything much taller than 3', but larger footprints are something I am interested in if it's second hand.
