Someone 45 minutes drive from me is selling a Jardini for $30 for a 9-10" Jardini with one eye. Is this worth the purchase? I love Jardinis. I'm in Southern California.

Three good things about it:

1. I have a 2 foot Silver Arowana that he can live with.. he has one eye as well (cichlid bit it when it was young)

2. He is not aggressive so he'll be able to live with the Arowana

3. $30 is pretty cheap, minus the 45 minutes drive and gas

I'm on the fence, and leaning towards getting him and raising him since he has a bad eye. I feel a bit of an obligation after I let my cichlid bite my Silvers eye. I guess I'm looking for any compelling reason NOT to get him since Jar's are my favorite fish.

Some jars don't turn evil until right after they hit 10", so this one might only be nice for a little while longer before it hate bangs your silver into oblivion.

x2^ sounds risky to me.

you should get it and then you can name the duo Snake Eyes! lol, jk, i dunno if you should put a 10" with a 2'. you say its not aggro but if you haven't had it with another aro before than you would not know the level of aggression that may occur. aro's can be super cool with 1 species and then flip out if they are with another aro
