I bought this guy from Vanimate and picked him up the other day. Immediately my distichodus sexfaciatus (the one I started a thread about because he was so shy) started attacking him. I thought maybe they'd get along but I was wrong. The older guy beat the crap out of this one and my smaller sexfaciatus and I had to divide the tank (which SUCKS - they're all so crowded now).

So unfortunately I can't keep him. I paid Ed $20 for him but honestly, if you can come get him today or tomorrow and give him a peaceful home you can have him for free.

These are terrible pictures but you can see the damage inflicted on the little guy in the first one and the marks on the lusosso in the second. The big jerk hiding in the third picture is the one who started attacking him from across the tank for no reason. I included this mostly so you can get an idea of their color. The smaller guy is a vibrant red, his big brother red but darker/duller, and the new guy for sale is much lighter, almost yellow.

He's very peaceful; was calm in his old home and didn't provoke or fight back here at all. So I wouldn't worry about his temperament. I think the other guy just didn't like having another fish his size show up out of nowhere.

Anyway, pickup only. I'm right in Chicago, at Belmont and Broadway, and free any time of day/night. This makes me sad but I just want him to get a good home.

I'll be in Chicago to help Nuth88 tomorrow (Sunday) so if things don't work out call me and I'll give him a good home.

I'll copy this to a PM and send it with my cell.

That's OK, my girlfriend was at work all day and I drove way out to the suburbs and back for nothing, wasted my whole day, so I wasn't around either.

By the way, Melafix is amazing. I've been treating them with it for a few days and the big lusosso has grown significant new amounts of fin and his wounds have all almost healed. The smaller sexf. no longer has slits in his fins at all. I can't believe how fast this all happened.

Bump. Someone was supposed to come get him today but didn't. This guy needs a happy home!
