So right now I have a 9 gallon biUbe (I know, I know), and it says to only use the substrate that came with it. Now, the substrate is kind of a rough rock. Would this work with a Cory?

mmm it should, but cory's in general i beliweve like to sift through smaller gravel and sand looking for food. just make sure they have plenty of food and i think theyd be fine in there

Ok, I just wanted to make sure that it didn't look like it was going to tear any of their barbels. Doesn't hurt to be too safe, right?

You also have to worry about their soft tummies... they don't have armor on their stomachs. This stuff looks rough, but is it even real? If it's fake, it's probably smooth.

it appears rough at first glance but looking closer the rocks do appear fairly smooth although the divets may be somewhat sharp. correct me if im wrong. i think ur cory's will be ok
