I cant what for the 11 to come any faster im going on a summer road trip 4 hours one way to get a 9 inch piraya for 150 bucks. im soo pumped any helpful tips on transport would be great

im using his tank water and 4 air stones and a heater in a rubbermaid bin like 15 gallons of water in it half full. any thing im missing?

sounds good we need to see some pics when you pick him up :)

he sent me this pic of the fish

looks like the water is very tan, can barely tell the color from the fish, do you know if the piraya has yellow flame or red flame or orange flame? looks like a nice fish regardless but look close to see if it has any gill curl once you get there, doesn't look like it has any from the picture but in person it might be different.
tell the seller to stop feeding it now so it won't produce much ammonia during the trip back home, if you still concern about it then place a sponge filter in one of your established tank now and put it in the cooler (with your tank water), should help with ammonia build up. I don't think a heater is needed but if you do plan on using one get heater guard to prevent heater burn on the fish.
drive safe, last thing you want is get too excited and trying to rush home and something happen. bring someone with you so you can take turn driving and won't fall behind the wheel or something.
once you get back, post lots of pictures :)

he already sold the 11 inch buddy piraya that was with this one he said the cooler was a yellow but after he put in driftwood and the tank tanned they lost color and truned darker on him so imma look close at the color on this fish. when u say gill curl what do u mean?? thanks jp

gill curl is when the gills are literally curled not that hard to tell but always check

oh and i for got to tell u i found a 2 inch black piranha at my LP and it was 20 bucks so i have him too :)
