ive got a 125 with an 8 inch silver arowana and two full grown breeding convicts. think they will be ok?

they might be ok.... but if the cons are breeding all the time they might beat the sh*t out of the aro and maybe even kill him just to protect the fry. so its a risk but it might work. how big do you mean by "full grown" about 6" ???

year about 6 inches. im trying to get rid rid of them though

like i said its a risk that you might have to take... but a 125-gallon might be big enough for the aro and the cons to stay away from each other. do you have any decorations/plants in the tank?? if you do those will help.

i small rock cave with plants behind it in the corner

well its worth a try since its a big tank (you will have to upgrade later for the aro though)... i see that you decided to sell the cons in the buy/sell forum... that is probably the best choice.

i have an extra 55 gallon they were in before. I was just wondering if it was a good decision to put them in with the aro. I plan on giving the silver to a friend and getting a Jar

a 55 is a bad idea because the aro is MUCH more likely to get picked on is a smaller tank like that. so i would get rid of the convicts ASAP.... you should give them to a LFS if you can't get rid of them in time. also a Jardini needs a bigger tank than a 125 also.

nooo. the aro has always been in the 125. the cons were in the 55 and i moved them to the 125

ok. but if the con's breed they will protect the eggs / fry so they will most likely bite the arowana.
