So most of my LFS have feeders and seem to all have ick? I have a 10 gal where I keep them and a few hours they were in there you can see spots on their fins... Didn't even bother curing em waste of $ + time so my CL didn't eat for at least a week... Last nite I dropped sum MP n minutes later I see my CL I thought he was choking but than saw him scoop up the pellet and I was Just amazed! I've always wanted to have him switch over to pellets but everyone
Told he its more likely he won't. Hahaha I'm very happy!

Good job! It's always difficult to train a large fish that's been given Feeders most of it's life to switch over to pellets. I find that when I get my CKs to switch over, they always seem to attack the algae wafers more than the massivores, lol!

awesome, good to hear hes off feeders and on to pellets now. Knifefish can be very picky sometimes, although i didnt have much issue converting mine to frozen/pellets - guess i was just lucky lol

i tried tricking my rck into taking pellets lol. when i first got him he was on feeders, then frozen. for the first while he didnt even look at the pellets. so i started sticking the pellets into the thawed shrimp and fish. then eventualy when i tried pellets without the shrimp and fish bait, he took it no problem.

yeah, my CK eats everything lol. shrimp, sinking pellets off the ground, and floating pellets.

ya im happy he switched over it was just such a hassle going back n fourth to lfs. but mayble once in a while ill buy a few just to c him in action hahaha.. but i was wondering, does anyone have a full size RCK? ive only seen a few and it seems like when they get bigger their patterens only seem to stay on the lower part of the tail and doesnt go through the upper body anymore? or is it every ck grow diff? mines only 9-10"

Im not sure how bigfull grown is in aquarium, minesabout 17.5" though if not a solid 18", last time I measured was over a month ago.
