I had two of these in a tank together for about a year and they just recently started fighting so I separated them. I need the space in the tank where this guy is at. He's peaceful with tank mates that aren't other crenicichla. Eats tilapia and krill, occasionally goes after pellets but likely wouldn't be hard to switch him to pellets full time if that's what you wanted to do.
