I’m gonna be moving my five mascara barbs and my leopard bush fish to something between a 90 and 150 gallons as the barbs need some more swimming space as they’re getting larger. Anything else I could add to the tank?

Hopefully you are able to get 125+ gal. The extra room will definitely be beneficial in the long run. If they are available I would get a few more mascara barbs to add to the group you already have. Loaches are a possibility (Kubotai’s and yo-yo’s). Maybe a couple medium-large catfish (synodontis decorus) if you get closer to 150g.

Beat me to it! I was going to suggest Sturgion's choice of the loaches in my signature (well except the clown loaches, I only recommend them if the tank is 473+ liters as you say).

Aquarium sharks are a good choice too. Roseline or red tail are types I can recommend for their ease of care, brilliant colors, and small size.

I keep Denison & Tiger Barbs with my Filamentosas Barbs, as well as YoYo's, Red Tail's & a Tiger Loach.
Good luck finding any reasonably priced Mascara or Filamentosa Barbs. Lol.

yeah I payed a arm and a leg for those mascara barbs, I don’t think filaments are as pricey though

Filaments are about half the price of Mascaras. The only difference between them is the Mascara's eye stripe.
Here's a pic of one of my male Filamentosa Barbs.

Thanks. Depending on the mood, the color of the Filament males flash the pictured blues to a green sheen.
The females are for the most part just a flashy silver with a hint of blue.

I love that dorsal fin, I’m not too sure if my mascara males will get it to the same degree

I think they probably will. My Filamentosas are two years old. The male's dorsal filaments really started to show at about the year and a half mark.
IMO, The colors of a mature Mascara Barb in breeding mode, are the best of all the Dawkinsias.
I would like to mix in a group of them into my community, but I'll have to wait for the prices to come down a bit. Lol.
