Hey all, need a quick question answered asap as im in the process of replumbing my fx5 with 1in pvc...
my question is this, I believe I read on here somewhere that for every 90degree bend you use, you reduce the flow of water from the pump-is this true? if so I was planning on using 3 on the output side so far...
what do you think?
thanks in advance!

Check Chompers pipe sizing sticky , it will answer your question thoroughly.

Every time you make water turn a corner you will loose a little flow, howerver, 3 90's shouldn't be a problem.

thank you both! to be safe, I just grabbed some of that 1 1/4in clear plastic tubing from home depot...I was connecting a NuClear Canister with bio balls after the fx5, and used that tubing for a temporary fix for now! and it works great, doesn't seem to have effected the flow rate at all!
