looks like alot of light for a non-planted
do you want to plant it?
whats floating in it?

ok i do agree with myself that i have been slackin on the decor part...but in original posts i have had some delays on this one. Bought about 3-4 months ago maybe 5... but didnt have a hood. so before i could put water my lovely cat used it as a litter box... but the floating objects at top are a few plants but i had a comet in there that pulled them up and i didnt out them back, my mistake...but my whole this is whether it would be worth doing a planted or something else...

not sure if you are still checking this post....

but, ifn ya are, for the record, i totally agree with the comment that planted tanks ARE defintely worth it... i do disagree with the characterization that they are FAR more work and effort than maintaining a fish-only tank... ANY tank is going to be an effort.. ( to do it right to keep aquatic life ALIVE anyhow..!) a planted tank is SOO worth it, in terms of the look of the tank and how the fishies live and react...

there are easier and less costly ways to acheive a lush, planted tank by the way... is just a matter of how patient you are....

in the end, whatever ya do with yer tank, is ALL good! just do not put it in the basement or garage to "collect" dust!!
