to start off with i have a 90gal tall tank. i have 2 breeding pair of convicts. the 1 pair has about 11 fry swimming and the other pair has eggs waiting to hatch. i was wondering the best way to feed the fry. the food doesnt seem to make it to the bottom of the tank and the free swimmimg fry are dropping by the day

I feed all my fry simple flake food. Even with adults around, enough makes it to the bottom for the fry.

Get a turkey baster to suck up the food, I use them to feed all my reclusive fish and have used them to feed fry and it works great. The food gets right to them and they even learn to associate the baster with food and start swarming when they see it. :D

what about a sinking pellet that they can nibble off of....the parents will steal some of it but if you place it right the fry have a good chance at it to.

I hatch baby brine shrimp and feed them to the fry for the first month then start feeding crushed flake
