I have a 90 gallon 36x24x24. Currently it is set up as a reef. Plan on taking it down and going to fresh. I am wanting to go with South American Chiclids or a Butterkofferi. What can be done as regards as stocking?

Nothing. Enjoy the personality. Dont even bother scaping the tank, just dump rocks and whatever else in and let the butti rearrange the tank(daily) to their liking. Butti are tolerant of other fish until they arent, then they snap and kill everything. I used to keep mine with maybe a dozen or so rosie minnows. He wouldnt notice them for months, then one day he would go ballistic and kill em all and id replace them

Thank you! What size is yours?

He(she?) Was about 11" and very thick. I bought him when he was already full grown, but he did get bulkier through the years. He now resides at my friends pet store. Hands down my favorite fish ive ever kept.

Had to throw a pic into the thread. My daughter loved him because he gave "kisses"(pretty sure he wanted to devour her)
