Good looking tank - big fan of BBs! One tip, lower your heater down behind the driftwood. It will allow you to keep it submerged for large water changes & will hide it from sight.

I run the Aequon heaters too & really like them - 2nd only to eheim jagrs IMO. They are shatterproof, which is nice when you're keeping big fish like BBs. I have one in my 90gal Trimac tank and its been working perfectly. If they come out of the water during a WC they start to smoke, which is a little unnerving! haha

I've never had the smoking issue but I do turn off everything during WC. They are a pretty reliable heater in my experience

some BB can be rough on tankmates as they get bigger,very cool fish.do the sal. and BB get along?
