So I bought a 90 gallon tank yesterday and its all set up and running. The guy had it running for 2 months no problem. Im just a little concerned. The center support bar(plastic) melted from when he was housing a snake. He's had it full of water for the past 2 months and it's up and running in my place fine. I just went to see if it was bowing at all, and there is a 1/4 inch difference betwen the edge of the tank and the center of the tank. So like the side lenth is 17 3/4'' and the middle is 18''.
Any ideas?
thanks guys

You can "Euro Brace" the tank. Take off all the plastic on the top and replace it with 2" X 1/4 inch glass all the way around the top. So if your looking down at the tank you will have a 2" lip around the opening of the tank making the opening smaller. Hard to explain. Anyway this will support your tank for sure. Your going to have to empty your tank before you install the new glass. Just so you get it installed with out the bow, then when you add water it will hold it's shape.

do I need to worry is what I really want to know...I have no clue how to Eurobrace and since I've never had any experience with it I wouldnt want to just dive in and try it. If its only 1/4 inch should a be stressing? Or should I really just look at buying a replacment frame from my LFS

Myself, I would worry about it. The braces are put there for a reason.

What is the glass thickness?

Can't find the tape measurer but it looks to be about 1/2 thick glass....
im just not sure if I need to worry cause it was running for two months like this with no problem....im currently building a canopy, do you think that will help secure it
