i am thinking about getting a 90 gallon complete. it comes with 90 gallon complete set up, tank, glass tops, 48 inch light bar, heater, 3D background, filter, gravelglass tops are new as is the 48 inch light strip.stand and a canopy, gravel, heater with external control, magnum 350 and he will even throw in a fluval 404.
what should i offer him??

between 200-250 see if you can get him down to that

Magnums are good starter canister filters. They do a good job polishing water but don't do much in the Biological department as an Eheim would. I mean you can fill the only media basket with some biomax but I would save the Bio filtration for the Fluval as that holds a hell of alot more media in it. Fluval 404's are great filters. You can customize any media and it has good output. It is a great filter to have even though I would say Eheim is much better. On a scale 1-10 magnum ranks 4 and the fluval 7.5 . For a setup I would offer him at least $400. Thats alot of good stuff and it's not all cheap. It just depends on overall condition of everything. If anything is wrong with the tank or anything else I say drop price to something more reasonable.

Mags do biofiltration just fine if they have a biowheel with them. You need to find out if it comes with one.

You also need to find out what kind of shape the filters are in.

You should look at it in person to decide what it's worth. I would't offer over $200, see what the persons says and how willing they are to negotiate on price THEN go look.
