So my success was short lived when I finally finished my 90g sump. I added 3 acrylic panels to divide the sections in my tank. So briefly, I had water coming in, going over a panel into bioballs, going underneath into an open sections (which was reserved for more biomedia), and over the third panel to the pump. The acrylic sheets were the thin ones from home depot (i know i know). Needless to say, they bowed, and then broke so all of my compartments are now one! lol my bioballs were mostly submerged anyway, so is there something for aquariums out there that can seal under water? I know they have things out for the home that can be applied under water, but I'm not sure if its aquarium safe. I'm trying to decide on is it worth it to start over or should I use eggcrate to section off the bioballs and loose media and let everything remain roughly "one" compartment. I have filter socks on my plumbing coming in as well. The only component I'd be missing out of is the additional mechanical filtration. I had sponges above and below the bioballs. Any thoughts? Thanks alot. I'm going to decide soon. I want to do it right but dont want to do anything that's not really necessary. I know if I go back with glass or thick acrylic, i'll have to leave it to dry for a little while. Thanks!
