I just purchased 90 gallon setup , I got an eheim 2075 with it . Do you think that is enough filter ? I want to get some sa cichlids , I know they're messy fish . Everyones always saying to overfilter . I was thinking of adding a hob filter ( maybe an ac70).

Before you go off buying more filters...

1)what specific SA cichlids are you talking about? Some grow up to 4" others go over a foot. How many of them?

2) "messy" is a result of what you feed and how often you feed

3) In theory, yes there's no such thing as water that's over filtered. That said, multiple filters clutter up your tank and use more electricity. You should find a balance that moderately exceeds what you need. Start by picking the fish for the tank. Read up on them and make sure your 90 will support them at an adult size. Then you're good to go.
Good luck.

I was thinking of getting 1 oscar 2 parrots and 1 green terror. Do you think the tank will be overstocked . Thanks for your help.

From my experience, over filtering is always a win situation.

And as far as over stocking goes... Ehh...your cutting it pretty close. Some people here would tell you that you are over stocking, me on the other hand would say to go for it.

When I think of over stocking, it is not the fish I am concerned about (unless you go COMPLETELY overboard lol), it is the amount of waist for the size of the tank. Also why I am big on over filtration!
