I have a 90 gallon i was gonna set up as a north American native tank but im getting rid of the map turtle so im going a whole different direction any ideas... i have a jd im growing out hes only about a inch so it will be a while before he goes was thinking green severums but dont know much about cichlids

I think it could work I haven't had any experience with lace cats but I don't see why it couldn't work as long as there is sufficient hiding places for every one

What kinda catfish would you think would work the best

depends on your fish. if they are aggressive, and pick on them, go with Raphaels (spotted over striped imo)
but if the fish are chill, like 15-20 panda cory's will be like 1.5" max and clean up great.
 
also panda cory's like many other little cory's are always active, a lot of catfish will be nocturnal.
