So, I resealed my 90 gallon tank and am looking at things to put in it. I can use it as a growout tank, so pretty much anything is a possibility besides rays (I am using my 180 gallon as a ray growout).

What should I put in the tank? I'm currently looking at clown knifefish, black ghost knifefish, african knifefish, peacock bass, various CA and SA cichlids, bichirs, etc.

I would do 4 bichirs and some peacock bass.

Why yellow perch? I catch them all the time. Plus, I would rather have a tropical tank, it's just personal preference I guess though.

As a side note, I used to keep natives, but parents complained so much that I ended up giving them to a friend. I am hoping to catch a bowfin and bring it home this summer though.

Most likely Gonna end up setting it up as a community tank with tetras, platies and glofish.
Sometimes living at home has its downsides. I am still going to try convincing the parents for the CA and SA cichlid/knife/bichir growout though. Maybe even try to find a nice datnoid and a spiny eel.

My next tank I am going strictly for the more rare c/a cichlids and plecos.

never thought about plecos. That is a good idea as well. Maybe I'll look for a gold nugget or a scarlet. Any other ideas?

Poo is not a problem, I do a 50-75% water change every other day on all the tanks except the reef (salt costs for a 187 gallon reef tank add up fast). The only thing is that there is no driftwood in the tank, so I would probably look for a carnivorous species.
