OK, so I have gotten my new 90 gallon planted and filled with water...only to find that when looking at it the left side of the tank the water level is higher than on the right side, when completely full it is about 1/2" difference. When you look at the tank from the side the water is perfectly even. So thinking the worst I went out and bought a level, my results are some what confusing me, so I come to you guys for help.

Here is a picture of the level sitting on top of the tank

If I move the level across the room and place on the floor the bubble is in the same place.

I'm not really sure if you can tell how the water level is off in these pictures

So do I need to worry or is this OK?

you shouldn't be confused, the bubble is a bit off center. 1/4" over 4 feet is only 1/16" per foot drop. most people won't notice it (ever see "mad about you"?). it's only .005208333" per inch.
I've had my 90 at a 1/3" lean for 12+ years with no problems. but it's an older tank with heavier than todays glass and an overbuilt custom real wood stand.

Thanks for the responses, I'm just slightly paranoid about having 90 gallons flood my room due to the tank not being "level". I know there's always the chance that the tank could spring a leak. I guess that I'll just keep my eye on it.

The left side of my 150 is about 1.25" lower than the right side. It's been sitting like that for three months now with no functional issues. It does annoy the bejesus out of me though so I'm going to shim it soon.

1.25?!! .. just askin', is that your floor or the stand going that? - N

It's the floor. I'm in an old rental property right now. The room I put the tank in is an addition that wasn't very well done. I'm considering moving it to another room but that would be a chore and a half. O.O

My 150 isn't level either, but just slightly. It's annoying to look at but no flooding yet. I'd remove the water and shim it now before there are fish in it, because there is a chance it could crack. Also, most manufacturers' warranties on tanks are void if the tank isn't kept level.
