pics of a 90 gallon tank
(60x18x16) using undergravel filtration, soil substrate mixed with peagravel, startup fertilizer and regular dosing of maintenance trace ferts. Plants are mostly stem with a few echinodoruses and lighted with 300watts of high intensity 36w flourescent.
the tank was redone in November and pictures were taken in January 2006.

wlcome to mfk and awsome tanks. i just can never get that hole growing plan thing down. they always die on me
 
Nice looking setup. All my plants used to die, but then I stopped trying and they are growing like weeds now. :screwy:

That's a really beautiful tank. I've heard mixed things about using soil substrate, and I think it's amazing that you use undergravel filtration and still have no stunted growth. I also like all those stems with the big swords every here and there, and the big oen area in the front is also visually appealing, and I'm sure it makes it easier to see fish. What kinds of fish do you keep in there?
