so originaly I was setting up my 90g for discus, but don't think i will have enough time for them. If I decide to go the angel route can I do four angels in 90g and not be too worried about aggresion issues or will I need more? Thanks

If it's going to be an angelfish display tank you could do six with no trouble. What kind of angels are you interested in?

I have had 5 in my 70 for over 1 year with no problems at all (I expect to go home after work now to find a rampage going...) I planted heavily and added large driftwood so as to provide areas where escape is available if necessary, but I haven't seen any real aggression so far. Fingers crossed.

I don't know what it is but I've only been able to keep 3 in my 190g. Each time I've added more the original 3 will destroy and kill the new guys. They end up dead in my overflow box. It seems like to avoid this you'd have to get them all at once. Once they're established, they may not tolerate any newbies. It's kinda like the internetz :)

My first was a year old when I transferred him to the 70g. I then added 4 quarterish sized ones. I worried the big guy would take the small ones out, but he sorta let them tag along with him in the tank. Guess I got lucky.

This is very common once territories are set up. Best thing to do is add new fish the same size or bigger than the exisiting ones. Take out the 3 original ones and put them all in a bucket while you rearrange the tank decorations and then add them all at the same time. Should help keep down the aggression this way.

i have a pretty stocked tank so far, so I only wanted four angels, but if had to for aggression reasons could easily do six.
I was thinking marbled and pearl scale. I am still familiarizing myself with the angel strains. any recommendations on where to buy?
