Currently have
6 in Oscar
4 in Firemouth
3 in Jack Dempsey
3 in Salvini
1 7 in Pleco
1 5 in Striped Rapheal

Currently the firemouth is king of the tank and is picking on the oscar. He leaves the Jack Dempsey alone but chases the salvini. The salivini is afraid of the firemouth but chases the Jack. The aggression does seem mild. Who do you think will take over the tank as they grow? There is a lot of driftwood and rockwork. As they grow is the tank way overstocked. I have plenty of filtration and all levels are good. I am more concerned about aggression. Any thoughts on this combination? I read a lot of info that says firemouths are not that aggressive. Will it eventually be the weakest fish in the tank?

Hi, i think eventually king of the tank will go to either the JD or the Sal more than likely the JD. As for stocking level you might want to loose the pleco, you should be ok with the rest as long as you don't add any more and you keep up with water changes.

I agree; get rid of the pleco. Plecos produce way too much poop. I think the salvini will be the "king", though. "Cichlasoma" salvini is a pretty small cichlid for a CA but is more aggressive than the typical JD, IME.
