Symptoms:
a. Some fish have whitish patches, very light on skin almost a dusting look. 90% sure it's not Ick
b. loss of appetite
c. Some light white around mouth (No swelling though)
d. One fish has two cottony spots just on fins, no one else has this.

Treating with Metronidazole, extra salt & 40 % water changes daily.

Should I be doing something else? Also only Dats seem to be worse.

Your case is columnaris. Keep the temperature at 76 degrees Fahrenheit and treat with Maracyn in a quarantine tank. The fish must be isolated immediately as columnaris is a contagious bacterial infection. No need to use salt and metronidazole.

Too late, already spread. I QT'd the first fish within 10hrs of it showing up but wasnt fast enough. So now treating both tanks. Tomorrow I'll run Maracyn in it instead of Metridazol. Clean one of the big canisters and did a big water change seemed to make them feel better. Also turned off both heaters. Set them down to the min, but still reading 80 degrees.. hot around here now. Hopefully thiese changes will make the difference and turn them around.
