Hey everyone.
Never in my 8 years of fishkeeping have I experienced such a terrible parasitic outbreak in my tank. I have a 75 gallon tank housing an adult Cuban cichlid.
First, I tried Quick Cure to no avail (for two days).
He has a serious infestation of anchor worms (or at least that's what I think it is and that's what my local LFS owner thinks too). They look like little white drifty things in the water and then if you get real close they start wiggling). Well, after I treated the tank twice with some stuff the LFS gave me along with Melafix/Pimafix the worms went away, but now the glass is covered in what looks like ich and Rex is covered in fungus.
The treatment from the LFS seemed to cure the worms and heal a wound the fish had, but now it looks like maybe the worms are in a different life cycle or something?? I don't know...
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME, I CAN'T STAND HAVING A SICK FISH.
oh ya, I removed everything from the tank prior to treating with the LFS medication
