Awww he's just a Lil guy.

Best way to get one.

Loving the sponge filter.

Thanks lol, I only discovered sponge filters relatively recently; they're fantastic.

There's a 406 running as well haha, in case the sponge looks like the only filtration! :P

I'm still so-so on the sand colour, almost wishing I went for a darker gravel; the bright sand definitely detracts from the black background. But we'll see

I saw an article some years back where some guys compared the biological filtering capacity of various sized air driven sponges to popular canister filters and the results were impressive. Strictly biologically speaking they are the best bang for your buck

Always great to have in a messy oscar tank. Good back up filtration. Makes it difficult to crash the tank when cleaning your big power filters / canisters.

Yeah for sure, as you said, great back-up, surprising effectiveness; plus energy efficient. I might even add a second to be fair, and push them to the back and attach a stronger pump.

Right now the tank is all over the place with equipment etc lol.

Nice set-up! I just picked up a 92 corner recently as well. Nice amount of swimming space. I like the light colored sand in your tank. Cute little O as well.

Thanks :) I was a bit 50/50 on the space, but at the end of the day I'm going to see how he grows in it; personally I love the width of these tanks.

What do you plan on doing with your corner tank?

You could always add some darker rocks but I think it looks great.... I had sand at one point but switched to black gravel black background in one tank and the colors of the fish are ten times better...

Maybe move the sponge behind the cave.

What are the dimensions of your tank

Its 48 inches across left to right, the width from the back corner, extending out across the 48 inches is 34 inches. 24 inch height. Weird to explain, hope that makes sense?
