I'm in the process of setting up a 93 gallon freshwater tank and was thinking about doing a CA cichlid tank. I was thinking about buying four species. How would these work together? Any suggestions?

Herotilapia multispinosa
Cryptoheros cutteri
Thoricthys meeki
Trichromis salvini

salvinis are as nasty as the big boys.
cutteri get around 8" maybe more.

Depending on the footrpint i might do just a large group of meeki and some wild type swordtails, let them interact ( better as groups IMHO)

or maybe a trio of rainbows + 6 meeki..

i wouldnt do all of the species, they'll get too big and make the tank look small and constantly be battling.

the meeki and swordtails option sounds great. thanks so much. my brother is trying to tell me to put oscars or a flowerhorn in there... lol. Doesn't get it. Thank you again.

Meeki and cutteri would work. Cutteri do get that big, but they start to slow down at around 4-5" in males. Admittedly meeki also get 6-7", but thorichthys are all very slow growing. Get some swordtails or wild mollies in there with them as well. Lee Nuttall has this setup but with spilurus, if you want to know what the setup would look like kinda.
