I’m looking for a 96”x36”x48” tall tank. I recently purchased a used one and it blew out. I’ve put so much work and time into this. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

how full did it get before if gave ?
how did the seams look prior to filling it ? Any bubbles or crazing ?
I have the same worries on used acrylic tanks
My 300 I’ve test filled about 3/4 full so far and so far so good but havegotten it full
That tank looks super thick. Was it a seam or did it actually crack ?

I believe it was the tight fit in the wall frame. Looks like tank didnt have sufficient space to expand. Tank was only fully filled for two hours. I don’t believe it was the seems. It exploded. It threw my weight bench and weights across my garage and blew out my garage door. Scary thing is, my son and l were in the garage all morning!! We had just stepped out to buy some river rock for the tank! F everything! I’m just glad my son is ok!! Lesson we’ll learned!

This is the first time I’ve heard of a acrylic tank busting, it’s shocking. It’s good that you and your son are ok, hopefully the monetary damages aren’t too high.

Dang! How thick was that acrylic? I notice you don't have a leveling mat, Id highly suggest one next time so you can take some pressure off the seams. Also, have you considered repairing the broken panels? you can probably find some custom cut acrylic sheets faster than a whole other tank?

Tank was all 1”. Thanks but I’m done with this tank. I’m hoping to buy a new one or used but thicker acrylic.
