A 1 in 10,000,000 split color hermaphroditic lobster

That is so sick!!! but does this only happen in lobsters???
 
We have a rockbass in the lab that I work in, half of his face is completely black, including his eye. I wonder what causes this.

Funny thing is when we caught the rock bass he had normal coloration, now in aquaria he has this color change. Who knows.
 
it's interesting that the split seems to be perfectly symmetrical

cool lobster, so its male and female at the same time?
with the rock bass it is most likely some sort of infection causing him to be unable to control the chromataphors on that side of his face
 
that is sweet. we found a crawdad that was normal but had 1 claw and a small patch on his head that was like that. wish we had kept him, but he tasted good...
