A Big Mbu Puffer

This species Tetraodon mbu is reported as growing up to three feet in length. However this one is about as big as I have ever seen them in captivity. This one Cujo is about two foot long. This Mbu is a friend of mines however it has been having health problems.

Has anyone ever seen a Mbu over two feet in captivity? They allegedly reach three foot long has anyone seen one that big or close to that size?

This Mbu is sick we think he has got some kind of internal blockage from feeding on shell fish.

We think there is some kind of blockage however if any Puffer experts out there have any ideas it would be great to hear your comments. We want Cujo to live.
 
What does his normal diet consist of and can you give us some back story as to his life up to this point?

I can ask the owner about the diet. He had this condition happen with his last Mbu Puffer and this condition eventually resulted in death. If any of you on the forums are experts with puffers and have seen this condition what should be done about this condition? Even though it is not my Mbu I would hate to watch such a great aquarium fish die.
