a bottom feeder for my 40 gal breeder

ok here goes i have a 40 gal breeder with some peaceful cichlids , some rainbow cichlids and some mextico blues. My tank is also planted . I am looking for a bottom feeder and or aglae for my tank, i want to stay away for plecos if at all possible. any suggestion please.

You don't need fish to clean up the algae for you. Why not just use the algae scraper? Your tank sounds overstocked to me.

well its not over stocked rainbows gets 5 inch and the mextico blues get aroung 6 if that and they will be getting there own tank . anybody else i want a bottom feeder thank you

Some Yoyo Loaches would be some great bottom dwellers for that situation.
