Well, the sad part isnt about the fish. The fish are all fine. I took one of my two most recent additions. My Oscar, Ludo. He's about 5" now. He's a beauty.
The other 2 are of Scarlett, my Female Jag. She's awsome. I love her. So pretty and the most timid of the bunch.
The sad part is about the camera. If you'll notice, the quality of those pics arent up to par with my previous pictures.
Well, a recent accident claimed the life of our beloved camera. Our Nikon D50 met an untimely demise. My husband was in a car accident ( a bad one ). He totalled his car. He was actually 95% ok though. He bruised his shoulder. But other than that he's fine. BMW is a great car. Kept him safe. The Auto body place was amazed he came out of it ok. Good cars.
Anyways, the CAMERA was in the trunk and was demolished. Even though it was under the cargo net AND in its padded case, it was cracked and internals were broken.
Best part? Well, Best Buy is where we got it and the insurance on the card wont pay for it because they said it will repair or replace it only if there is a balance on the card that relates to the purchase. Well... the DAY before the accident, we made a large payment and paid the camera off. So since there is no balance, they wont replace it. And car insurance wont cover it either.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Now, they dont make the D50 anymore and the next step up is the D80 which is $1200!!! Or a step down which is $600 i think.
And to think, while we were in China, we purchased a new lense for it.
So that's the story. In the mean time, i'm practicing taking pics with a rinky dink digital. It's more of a video camera than a picture taker.
Hope the story didnt bore anyone. Had to get it off my chest.
