A day at the beach

On our daily dip today, nearshore was littered with what appear to be jellies.
We found plastic cup and grabbed one for photo-op
This one just happened to come with a friend.
Anybody got any ID ideas.

Some species of Driftfish; Man'0'War Fish or similar? We saw a number of fish that looked similar to this tangled in Man'O'War jellies washed up on a Cuban beach many years ago.

In that more naive and innocent time period (late 1980's) I brought a number of very small fish, shrimp, crabs, etc. back from the Caribbean on several occasions, just in plastic bottles in my luggage. Almost everything survived the trip and lived well in my tanks...except these guys, every one DOA.

Maybe time for a marine tank, duanes ?

Pros: there will never be a shortage of salt water for water changes.

Cons: getting the water up from the beach to the tank.

Pump and a long hose? Auto drip overflow trickling over the lowest part of the tank rim maybe?

Thats right in duanes wheelhouse. It would probably end up amazing. Hes already got the lighting covered.
