Ok so I walked into the crappy LFS near my house because I needed more Prime. So I was just about to walk out with my friend but then I was like wait; who can go to a fish store without looking at the fish?!
So we proceeded to turn around and go take a look.
There are normal fish there like oscars and gouramis and catfish, but there were some fish that I have never seen before in real life. Like Leopard Ctenompa(spelling is wrong) and Compress cichlids and others. So then we walk into the last isle near the catfish. So I saw a ton of synodontis cats.
Leopard synos at 3/4 to 1" for 8.99
Eupteris synos at 3/4 to 1" for 3.99
Ocellifer synos at 3/4 to 1 and 1/4" for 6.99
and then 2" Ocellifer synos with no price tag.
So I went and saw the manager and asked him the price.
"Excuse me sir, do you know how much these catfish are?"
"They are 15.99 young man."
"Ok thank you."
Thats a little steep ya think? I said to my friend...
Hoping for something different we asked an employee that we know, Steve, how much they are. So he goes back and asks another employee. He says 7.99! At that point I almost choked on my water. I said. For these big ones?! He said, oh Im sorry, those are 4.99!!!!!!!!!!!
So I looked at my friend and I said, Ok let me have 5 of those please. Ill take 5 of those too, said my friend Jimmy. I saw 5 in the bag and left.
So today we walked away with 10 synos at 2" for only 50 dollars, when the REAL price should of been 159.90!! Boy was I excited!
So I got them home and I aclimated them into my 29g tank. Just the 5 of them on the bottom should be enough for now right? Anyways, 20 minutes later I dump them in when I say. Hey I only see 4!!?! I turn to look in the bag again and then CRUNCH! I stepped on a cheeto. Then I looked in my tank and then I saw him. I got pix of them too for you guys.
