I was just reading an article by Ray Gettler titled "4 years and patience" regarding raising and breeding some diademas. He says that he had a 10" male and a 9" female, which is much bigger than Ive read ( theres not alot out there for info)
Until I read this I was thinking that I had a male just because of the dorsal fin and size (seeing how most sites say they get around 6") Now I have no idea what sex it is, this is the only one Ive seen in person. Ive been wanting to breed them for awhile but havent came across any except fry.
When I bought it I was told it was a wild keyhole and it jumped from its tank into a mbuna tank which made it look different (weirdo).
I have had this one for about 2.5 years and its almost 7", it shot up to 6" rather quickly then slowed down alot.
Anyone out there have some exp with these fish- max size, sex of mine and where I may be able to get some adults?
It was in my wifes tank for a while-she likes colorful gravel
Thanks for any info
